Having dinner with younger daughter and her fiancé they came by to carve pumpkins, make caramel apples, and watch a movie. So we spent part of the afternoon carving these:
We choose pumpkins mostly for their future value as pies. Thus, weird shapes are a feature, not a big. This and previous were my works. Kept it semi-basic this year. This is daughter’s. It’s a fairly tale carriage, even if the picture doesn’t capture the details. Future son in law’s. Should I be worried? It’s actually pretty cool. Caboose went basic/classic
Helped out with the church “lock in” for the teens who build (and then ran) the Oktoberfest games for the littles. Very good fun but no sleep of course. Sunday I got to sing “Ein Feste Burg” original translation & tune (Yay!) for Reformation Sunday and go to a Halloween get-together. Comic is going to be late (again) but at some point it’s better to be out with family & friends then nose to the drawing board.
